“The experimental spectrum is given in various ribbons covering the Mid-band (3.2 GHz to 3.67 GHz), millimeter wave ribbon (24.25 GHz to 28.5 GHz) and in the sub-gigahertz band (700 ghz). TSPS It will also be permitted. To use their existing spectrums (800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2500 MHz) to conduct 5G trials, “said the government said.

The purpose of conducting 5G trials is: “Test the characteristics of 5G spectrum propagation especially in the context of India; Tuning and Evaluation Models of equipment and selected vendors; custom technology testing; Application testing (such as telemedicine, telephoto education, augmented / virtual reality, agricultural monitoring based Drones, etc.); and to test 5G phones and devices “.

5G technology is expected to provide a better user experience in terms of data download levels (expected 10 times from 4G), up to three times a larger spectrum efficiency, and ultra low latency to enable the industry. Applications are in various sectors such as agriculture, education, health, transportation, traffic management, smart cities, smart homes, and several iot applications (Internet of Things), press statements added.
