Nokia 2720 V Flip comes to the US through Verizon

Global HMD does not only make an Android phone with Nokia’s name on them, it also makes a cellphone feature with the name Nokia on them. The company has revived the most iconic Nokia handset and nothing is more iconic than the clamshell form factor that is always described on TV and the film back in the days. That the revival arrived with the Nokia 2720 flip back in 2019 and the same phone finally arrived in the US as the Nokia 2720 V Flip, owned by Verizon.

It’s clear that no cellphone is folded, at least not in the modern sense of the word, but the Nokia 2720 V Flip does bring back the classic sophisticated feeling, the classic rotating to make calls. Just turn the phone to answer the call and turn it to end it. Of course, you can see who is calling thanks to a 1.3-inch screen outside.

Inside, you get a 2.8-inch QVGA screen for an old school that allows you to connect with family and friends through the Facebook and WhatsApp application. You must recall your muscle memory piercing on the T9 keyboard to type text messages. For some people, it might be actually better than the keyboard on the screen.

What makes the Nokia 2720 V flip special, is the support of the default Google assistant activated by Kaios. The operating system for phone features also has its own App Store but don’t expect anything close to people like Google Play Store, of course.

Nokia 2720 V Flip is quite a lot, the same Nokia 2720 flip announced in 2019, only with the brand “V” recorded it for Verizon. It will be available starting May 20 with only $ 79.99. The phone does support 4G LTE connections, of course, and can even be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot if needed.
